Welcome to SkoolSystem. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SkoolSystem school management software platform, website, and related notification services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating a school account, starting a free trial, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Registration & Account Security

To access the Service, school administrations must register for an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, including master super admin passwords.
• Restricting unauthorized access by ensuring teachers, staff, and drivers keep their login details secure.
• Immediately notifying SkoolSystem support of any suspected security breaches or unauthorized usage of your school portal.

2. Acceptable Use of the Platform

You agree to use the Service strictly in compliance with applicable local and international regulations. You shall not:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service or its underlying database schema.
• Use the Service to transmit unsolicited messages, spam, or abusive notifications to guardians.
• Attempt to bypass tenant-scoping RLS (Row-Level Security) barriers or execute unauthorized database modifications directly via the Supabase client.
• Use mock database profiles or upload file configurations that contain malicious code, viruses, or spyware.

3. Trials, Billing & Subscription Plans

We offer standard subscription tiers and trial periods under the following terms:

• 7-Day Free Trial: Trial accounts allow schools to test the platform's features (students registers, fee structures, timetables, etc.). Upon trial expiration, accounts must subscribe to a paid plan to prevent operational restrictions.
• Subscription Renewals: Billing is executed on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selected pricing plan. Subscriptions are billed automatically in advance.
• Payment Dues & Suspension: If payments remain unpaid past the grace period, school portals will automatically be suspended. Under suspended state, staff logins and dashboard panels are disabled until billing balances are settled.

4. Platform Maintenance & Service Availability

While we strive to maintain uninterrupted service uptime (99.9% target), we perform scheduled system maintenance from time to time:

• During maintenance events, non-admin users (staff, teachers, parents) may temporarily be locked out of the app.
• Administrators will receive countdown notifications in the dashboard prior to scheduled maintenance updates.
• We hold no liability for operational delays, record sync lags, or temporary platform lockouts resulting from scheduled infrastructure maintenance.

5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6. Cancellation & Data Deletion

Schools can cancel their subscription at any time via the billing panel. Upon cancellation, your data will remain accessible until the end of the current billing cycle, after which the database schema mapping for your school subdomain will be deleted.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where SkoolSystem's primary infrastructure development division is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
